| Fully police-escorted ride on Saturday, Sept. 18th leaving from the Stellar Center at 125 Venture Drive (located right off I-95). Following Registration and Check-in (beginning at 8am), there will be a riders safety meeting, memorial service and prayer, and then it's kick-stands up at 10am.There will also be pre-registration, event t-shirt sales and a dance on the evening of Friday, Sept. 17th at the Stellar Center. | 2009 Law Enforcement Memorial Bike Ride | |

The Brunswick Police Department and the
Georgia Blue Knights Motorcycle Club, Chapter XIV, once again sponsored the Law
Enforcement Memorial Bike Ride and it was a huge success! This event,
a fully escorted ride
from Brunswick, Georgia to St. Augustine, Florida took place on Saturday, September 19,
2009 with over 250 riders participating. This year's ride raised a record
amount of $11,879.03 surpassing the previous record amount of $10,067.00 in
2006. A big thank you goes out to all the riders, the event sponsors, and
to all those businesses and individuals who donated money, prizes or their time
to help make this year's ride such a great success!
Some interesting facts from this year's event: Oldest rider: 75 years old Youngest Rider: 19 years old Average age of riders: 47 years old Motorcycle Makes Participating: Harley Davidson 99 Honda 37 Yamaha 30 Suzuki 19 Kawasaki 9 BMW 2 Victory 2
Longest distance ridden to event was 245 miles.
