The Brunswick Police Department
has established a policy and procedures manual which, in addition to the City of
Brunswick's Personnel Policy, serves as an official guide for employees of this
agency. The manual consists of written directives ( policies, procedures,
rules, regulations, guidelines and/or other written directives) which are
adhered to in order to ensure that department goals are accomplished. The
Commission for Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) and the State
Law Enforcement Certification Program reference standards may be used as
guidelines for some policy development. Policy manuals are made available
for use by all department personnel.
