The Brunswick Police Department is proud to announce a new partnership with CrimeMapping.com! Citizens can now access Brunswick Police Department incident information via CrimeMapping.com's innovative on-line mapping software. The information, updated once daily, is categorized into 14 different groups of crime types and plotted onto a geographical map of the City of Brunswick. In addition to being able to access information for the city as a whole, citizens of the City of Brunswick are able to enter their own address to become more informed of the activity occurring in their own neighborhoods. The software is easy to use and provides accurate and timely data in the form of maps and reports. This is just one of the ways in which the Brunswick Police Department desires to create better informed citizenry who are in partnership with us as we strive to create safer neighborhoods. Click here to get started or visit www.crimemapping.com.
Family Action Support Team This group, comprised of spouses of Brunswick Police Department officers and staff, formed earlier this year to provide an opportunity for spouses to meet and interact with each other and other members of the department and to provide a much-needed network of support and encouragement. F.A.S.T. meets the 4th Saturday of every month at 9am in the Ed Haupt Room at BPD Headquarters. Officers of the group include: Niki Schmauch-President, Amanda Jones-Secretary, Polly Davis-Treasurer, and Susan Carter and Lauren Sapp-Public Relations. F.A.S.T. recently held their first fundraiser--A Penny War among BPD teams--which generated over $1,700 for the group.
