On May 5, 2017 at approximately 6:49 pm, officers were dispatched to the area of “K” Street and Newcastle Street in reference to shots fired. While responding to the location, officers were advised that two male subjects with gunshot wounds had arrived at emergency room. The victims were transported to theSoutheast Georgia Health System Brunswick Campus in two separate private vehicles. Following additional investigation, officers were able to determine that the two shootings were related. Both Russell Warner 38, of Brunswick, and Noah Hodge 19, of Brunswick, were shot once in the chest. Both parties were airlifted to Savannah Memorial University where they are currently in stable condition. At this time, we believe this to be an isolated incident. On May 7, 2017 at 6:40pm, Rashod Wright 27, of Brunswick, arrived at the Southeast Georgia Health System Brunswick Campus with a gunshot wound to the back. Wright was dropped off the emergency room by an unknown party. At the same time, officers were dispatched to a call of shots fired in the 2100 block of Johnston Street. The victim informed officers that he was shot at that location. Investigators were not provided with a description of the shooter. Detective Tim Taylor is in charge of the investigation.
