PRESS RELEASE – For Immediate Release

Glynn/Brunswick Narcotics Enforcement Task Force Agents working along with Brunswick Police Department, McIntosh County Sheriff’s Office, and the Georgia State Patrol executed a search warrant Tuesday afternoon at a local clothing store named Bravo located at 3229 Norwich Street in Brunswick. This was the culmination of an eight month investigation surrounding the illegal distribution of synthetic marijuana.

In November of last year officers executed a search warrant following the arrest during a traffic stop of the owner, Donnell Alford, 31, of Brunswick. During that traffic stop Alford was found to be in possession of synthetic marijuana. Alford was charged at that time with three counts of Possession of Synthetic Marijuana. The Search warrant following the traffic stop yielded two firearms and almost two pounds of suspected Synthetic Marijuana. Alford was released on bond following his November arrest.

During the search warrant on Tuesday afternoon officers were also armed with arrest warrants for Alford charging him with 9 counts of Possession of Synthetic Marijuana with Intent to Distribute. These charges stem from the November search and ongoing investigation.

Uncovered during Tuesday’s search were more suspected synthetic marijuana packaged for sale as well and bulk product.

The Investigation is still ongoing and other arrests are forthcoming in the case.
